ON ARRANGEMENT OF COMMUNE-LEVEL ADMINISTRATIVE DIVISIONS OF DONG THAP PROVINCE IN 2025

Pursuant to the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, as amended by the Resolution No. 203/2025/QH15;
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of Local Governments No. 72/2025/QH15;
Pursuant to the National Assembly’s Resolution No. 202/2025/QH15 dated June 12, 2025 on arrangement of provincial-level administrative divisions;
Pursuant to the Resolution No. 76/2025/UBTVQH15 dated April 14, 2025 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on arrangement of administrative divisions in 2025;
In view of the Government’s request in the Document No. 376/TTr-CP and Project No. 377/DA-CP dated May 09, 2025, Verification Report No. 421/BC-UBPLTP15 dated June 03, 2025 of the Committee on Law and Justice,
HEREIN RESOLVES:
Article 1. Arrangement of commune-level administrative divisions of Dong Thap Province
According to the Government’s Project No. 377/DA-CP dated May 09, 2025 on the arrangement of commune-level administrative divisions of Dong Thap Province (new) in 2025, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly makes a decision on the arrangement to establish commune-level administrative divisions of Dong Thap Province as follows:
1. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Sa Rai Town, Binh Phu Commune (Tan Hong District) and Tan Cong Chi Commune into a new Commune called Tan Hong Commune.
2. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Thong Binh Commune and Tan Thanh A Commune into a new Commune called Tan Thanh Commune.
3. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Tan Thanh B Commune and Tan Ho Co Commune into a new Commune called Tan Ho Co Commune.
4. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Tan Phuoc Commune (Tan Hong District) and An Phuoc Commune into a new Commune called An Phuoc Commune.
5. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Thuong Thoi Tien Town, Thuong Phuoc 1 Commune and Thuong Phuoc 2 Commune into a new Commune called Thuong Phuoc Commune.
6. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Long Khanh A Commune and Long Khanh B Commune into a new Commune called Long Khanh Commune.
7. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Long Thuan Commune, Phu Thuan A Commune, and part of the natural area and population size of Phu Thuan B Commune into a new Commune called Long Phu Thuan Commune.
8. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Phu Thanh B Commune and An Hoa Commune into a new Commune called An Hoa Commune.
9. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Phu Duc Commune and Phu Hiep Commune into a new Commune called Tam Nong Commune.
10. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Phu Thanh A Commune and Phu Tho Commune into a new Commune called Phu Tho Commune.
11. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Tram Chim Town and Tan Cong Sinh Commune into a new Commune called Tram Chim Commune.
12. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Phu Cuong Commune (Tam Nong District), Hoa Binh Commune, and part of the natural area and population size of Gao Giong Commune into a new Commune called Phu Cuong Commune.
13. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of An Phong, Phu Ninh and An Long into a new Commune called An Long Commune.
14. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Tan My Commune and Tan Phu Commune (Thanh Binh District), Thanh Binh Town and part of the natural area and population size of Tan Thanh Commune (Thanh Binh District) into a new Commune called Thanh Binh Commune.
15. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Phu Loi Commune and the remaining part of Tan Thanh Commune (Thanh Binh District) after the arrangement specified in clause 14 of this Article into a new Ward called Tan Thanh Commune.
16. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Binh Thanh Commune (Thanh Binh District) and Binh Tan Commune into a new Commune called Binh Thanh Commune.
17. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Tan Binh Commune and Tan Hoa Commune (Thanh Binh District), communes of Tan Quoi, Tan Hue and Tan Long, and the remaining part of Phu Thuan B Commune after the arrangement specified in clause 7 of this Article into a new Ward called Tan Long Commune.
18. Merge the entire natural area and population size of My An Town, My An Commune and My Hoa Commune into a new Commune called Thap Muoi Commune.
19. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Phu Dien Commune and Thanh My Commune into a new Commune called Thanh My Commune.
20. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Lang Bien, My Dong and My Qui into a new Commune called My Qui Commune.
21. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Tan Kieu Commune and Doc Binh Kieu Commune into a new Commune called Doc Binh Kieu Commune.
22. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Thanh Loi Commune and Truong Xuan Commune into a new Commune called Truong Xuan Commune.
23. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Hung Thanh Commune (Thap Muoi District) and Phuong Thinh Commune into a new Commune called Phuong Thinh Commune.
24. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Phong My Commune and the remaining part of Gao Giong Commune after the arrangement specified in clause 12 of this Article into a new Ward called Phong My Commune.
25. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Phuong Tra Commune and Ba Sao Commune into a new Commune called Ba Sao Commune.
26. Merge the entire natural area and population size of My Tho Town and communes of My Hoi (Cao Lanh District), My Xuong and My Tho into a new Commune called My Tho Commune.
27. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Tan Hoi Trung, Binh Hang Tay and Binh Hang Trung into a new Commune called Binh Hang Trung Commune.
28. Merge the entire natural area and population size of My Long Commune and Binh Thanh Commune (Cao Lanh District), and My Hiep Commune into a new Commune called My Hiep Commune.
29. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Tan My (Lap Vo District), Hoi An Dong, My An Hung A and My An Hung B into a new Commune called My An Hung Commune.
30. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Long Hung A, Long Hung B and Tan Khanh Trung into a new Commune called Tan Khanh Trung Commune.
31. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Lap Vo Town and communes of Binh Thanh (Lap Vo District), Vinh Thanh and Binh Thanh Trung into a new Commune called Lap Vo Commune.
32. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Tan Thanh Commune and Tan Phuoc Commune (Lai Vung District), Dinh An Commune and Dinh Yen Commune into a new Commune called Lai Vung Commune.
33. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Lai Vung Town and communes of Long Hau, Long Thanh and Hoa Long into a new Commune called Hoa Long Commune.
34. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Tan Hoa (Lai Vung District), Dinh Hoa, Vinh Thoi and Phong Hoa into a new Commune called Phong Hoa Commune.
35. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Tan Phu Dong, Hoa Thanh and Tan Duong into a new Commune called Tan Duong Commune.
36. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Cai Tau Ha Town and communes of An Phu Thuan, An Hiep, An Nhon and Phu Huu into a new Commune called Phu Huu Commune.
37. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Hoa Tan, An Khanh and Tan Nhuan Dong into a new Commune called Tan Nhuan Dong Commune.
38. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Tan Binh Commune and Tan Phu Commune (Chau Thanh District), Phu Long Commune and Tan Phu Trung Commune into a new Commune called Tan Phu Trung Commune.
39. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Tan Hoi Commune and Tan Phu Commune (Cai Lay Town), and My Hanh Dong Commune into a new Commune called Tan Phu Commune.
40. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Tan Thanh, Tan Hung and An Thai Trung into a new Commune called Thanh Hung Commune.
41. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Hoa Hung, My Luong and An Huu into a new Commune called An Huu Commune.
42. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of An Thai Dong, My Loi A and My Loi B into a new Commune called My Loi Commune.
43. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Thien Tri, My Duc Dong and My Duc Tay into a new Commune called My Duc Tay Commune.
44. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of My Tan (Cai Be District), My Trung and Thien Trung into a new Commune called My Thien Commune.
45. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Hau My Bac A, Hau My Bac B and Hau My Trinh into a new Commune called Hau My Commune.
46. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of My Hoi (Cai Be District), An Cu, Hau Thanh and Hau My Phu into a new Commune called Hoi Cu Commune.
47. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Cai Be Town, Dong Hoa Hiep Commune and Hoa Khanh Commune into a new Commune called Cai Be Commune.
48. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Phu Nhuan, My Thanh Bac and My Thanh Nam into a new Commune called My Thanh Commune.
49. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Phu Cuong Commune (Cai Lay District) and Thanh Loc Commune into a new Commune called Thanh Phu Commune.
50. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Binh Phu Town, Phu An Commune and Cam Son Commune into a new Commune called Binh Phu Commune.
51. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Tan Phong, Hoi Xuan and Hiep Duc into a new Commune called Hiep Duc Commune.
52. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of My Long (Cai Lay District), Long Trung and Long Tien into a new Commune called Long Tien Commune.
53. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Tam Binh Commune and Ngu Hiep Commune into a new Commune called Ngu Hiep Commune.
54. Merge the entire natural area and population size of My Phuoc Town, Thanh My Commune and Tan Hoa Dong Commune into a new Commune called Tan Phuoc 1 Commune.
55. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Thanh Tan, Thanh Hoa and Tan Hoa Tay into a new Commune called Tan Phuoc 2 Commune.
56. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Phuoc Lap, Tan Lap 1 and Tan Lap 2 into a new Commune called Tan Phuoc 3 Commune.
57. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Hung Thanh (Tan Phuoc District), Phu My and Tan Hoa Thanh into a new Commune called Hung Thanh Commune.
58. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Tan Ly Dong, Tan Hoi Dong and Tan Huong into a new Commune called Tan Huong Commune.
59. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Tan Hiep Town, Thanh Cuu Nghia Commune and Long An Commune into a new Commune called Chau Thanh Commune.
60. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Tam Hiep, Thanh Phu and Long Hung into a new Commune called Long Hung Commune.
61. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Nhi Binh, Dong Hoa and Long Dinh into a new Commune called Long Dinh Commune.
62. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Diem Hy Commune and Binh Trung Commune into a new Commune called Binh Trung Commune.
63. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Phu Phong, Ban Long and Vinh Kim into a new Commune called Vinh Kim Commune.
64. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Song Thuan, Binh Duc and Kim Son into a new Commune called Kim Son Commune.
65. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Trung Hoa, Hoa Tinh, Tan Binh Thanh and My Tinh An into a new Commune called My Tinh An Commune.
66. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Thanh Binh, Phu Kiet and Luong Hoa Lac into a new Commune called Luong Hoa Lac Commune.
67. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Dang Hung Phuoc, Quon Long and Tan Thuan Binh into a new Commune called Tan Thuan Commune.
68. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Cho Gao Town, Long Binh Dien Commune and Song Binh Commune into a new Commune called Cho Gao Commune.
69. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Binh Phan, Binh Phuc Nhut and An Thanh Thuy into a new Commune called An Thanh Thuy Commune.
70. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Xuan Dong, Hoa Dinh and Binh Ninh into a new Commune called Binh Ninh Commune.
71. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Vinh Binh Town, Thanh Nhut Commune and Thanh Tri Commune into a new Commune called Vinh Binh Commune.
72. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Binh Nhi, Dong Thanh and Dong Son into a new Commune called Dong Son Commune.
73. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Binh Phu (Go Cong Tay District), Thanh Cong and Yen Luong into a new Commune called Phu Thanh Commune.
74. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Binh Tan Commune and Long Binh Commune into a new Commune called Long Binh Commune.
75. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Long Vinh Commune and Vinh Huu Commune into a new Commune called Vinh Huu Commune.
76. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Tan Thanh Commune (Go Cong Dong District) and Tang Hoa Commune into a new Commune called Go Cong Dong Commune.
77. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Binh An Commune and Tan Dien Commune into a new Commune called Tan Dien Commune.
78. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Tan Hoa Town, Phuoc Trung Commune and Binh Nghi Commune into a new Commune called Tan Hoa Commune.
79. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Tan Phuoc (Go Cong Dong District), Tan Tay and Tan Dong into a new Commune called Tan Dong Commune.
80. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Vam Lang Town, Kieng Phuoc Commune and Gia Thuan Commune into a new Commune called Gia Thuan Commune.
81. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Tan Phu Commune and Tan Thanh Commune (Tan Phu Dong District), and Tan Thoi Commune into a new Commune called Tan Thoi Commune.
82. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Phu Thanh, Phu Dong and Phu Tan into a new Commune called Tan Phu Dong Commune.
83. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Ward 1 and Ward 2 (My Tho City), Tan Long Ward into a new Ward called My Tho Ward.
84. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Ward 4 and Ward 5 (My Tho City), and Dao Thanh Commune into a new Ward called Dao Thanh Ward.
85. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Ward 9 (My Tho City), Tan My Chanh Commune and My Phong Commune into a new Ward called My Phong Ward.
86. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Ward 6 (My Tho City), and Thoi Son Commune into a new Ward called Thoi Son Ward.
87. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Ward 10, Phuoc Thanh Commune and Trung An Commune into a new Ward called Trung An Ward.
88. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Ward 1 and Ward 5 (Go Cong City), Long Hoa Ward into a new Ward called Go Cong Ward.
89. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Ward 2 (Go Cong City) and Long Thuan Ward into a new Ward called Long Thuan Ward.
90. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Long Chanh Ward and Binh Xuan Commune into a new Ward called Binh Xuan Ward.
91. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Long Hung Ward, Tan Trung Commune and Binh Dong Commune into a new Ward called Son Qui Ward.
92. Merge the entire natural area and population size of wards of An Loc, An Binh A and An Binh B into a new Ward called An Binh Ward.
93. Merge the entire natural area and population size of An Thanh Ward, Binh Thanh Commune and Tan Hoi Commune (Hong Ngu City) into a new Ward called Hong Ngu Ward.
94. Merge the entire natural area and population size of An Lac Ward, Thuong Thoi Hau A Commune and Thuong Lac Commune into a new Ward called Thuong Lac Ward.
95. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Ward 1, Ward 3, Ward 4 and Ward 6 (Cao Lanh City), Hoa Thuan Ward, and communes of Hoa An, Tinh Thoi, Tan Thuan Tay and Tan Thuan Dong into a new Ward called Cao Lanh Ward.
96. Merge the entire natural area and population size of My Ngai Ward, My Tan Commune (Cao Lanh City) and Tan Nghia Commune into a new Ward called My Ngai Ward.
97. Merge the entire natural area and population size of My Phu Ward and communes of Nhi My, An Binh and My Tra into a new Ward called My Tra Ward.
98. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Ward 1, Ward 2, Ward 3 and Ward 4 (Sa Dec City), An Hoa Ward, Tan Quy Dong Ward, Tan Khanh Dong Commune and Tan Quy Tay Commune into a new Ward called Sa Dec Ward.
99. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Ward 1 and Ward 3 (Cai Lay Town), My Hanh Trung Commune and My Phuoc Tay Commune into a new Ward called My Phuoc Tay Ward.
100. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Ward 2, and Tan Binh Commune (Cai Lay Town), Thanh Hoa Commune into a new Ward called Thanh Hoa Ward.
101. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Ward 4 and Ward 5 (Cai Lay Town), Long Khanh Commune into a new Ward called Cai Lay Ward.
102. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Nhi My Ward, Phu Quy Commune and Nhi Quy Commune into a new Ward called Nhi Quy Ward.
103. After the arrangement, Dong Thap Province has 102 commune-level administrative divisions, including 82 communes and 20 wards.
1. This Resolution comes into force from the day on which it is ratified.
2. Agencies shall, under their authority, expeditiously make necessary preparations to ensure that local governments of commune-level administrative divisions formed after the arrangement specified in Article 1 of this Resolution officially commence operations from July 01, 2025.
3. Local governments of commune-level administrative divisions before the arrangement shall continue operating until local governments of commune-level administrative divisions formed after the arrangement officially commence operations.
Article 3. Implementation organization
1. The Government, People’s Council of Dong Thap Province, People’s Committee of Dong Thap Province, local governments of administrative divisions related to the arrangement and other agencies and organizations concerned shall organize the implementation of this Resolution; arrange and stabilize apparatuses of local agencies and organizations; stabilize lives of the local people and satisfy the socio-economic development, national defense and security requirements in the Province.
2. The Government is assigned to rely on this Resolution and Project No. 377/DA-CP dated May 09, 2025 of the Government to organize the determination of natural area of commune-level administrative divisions and make it publicly available before September 30, 2025; at the same time expeditiously conduct on-site surveying activities and determine boundaries of administrative divisions to prepare dossiers on boundaries of administrative divisions as prescribed.
3. The Ethnic Minorities Council, Committees of the National Assembly, Delegations of the National Assembly Deputies and Dong Thap Province Delegation of National Assembly Deputies shall, within the bounds of their tasks and powers, supervise the implementation of this Resolution.
This Resolution is ratified by the Standing Committee of the 15th National Assembly of Socialist Republic of Vietnam on this 16th of June 2025.
