ARRANGEMENT OF COMMUNE-LEVEL ADMINISTRATIVE DIVISIONS OF GIA LAI PROVINCE IN 2025
STANDING COMMITTEE OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY
Pursuant to the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam as amended by Resolution No. 203/2025/QH15;
Pursuant to Law on Organization of Local Government No. 72/2025/QH15;
Pursuant to Resolution No. 202/2025/QH15 dated June 12, 2025 of the National Assembly on arrangement of provincial-level administrative divisions;
Pursuant to Resolution No. 76/2025/UBTVQH15 dated April 14, 2025 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on arrangement of administrative divisions in 2025;
In view of the Government’s request in the Document No. 392/TTr-CP and Project No. 393/DA-CP dated May 09, 2025, Verification Report No. 422/BC-UBPLTP15 dated June 03, 2025 of the Committee on Law and Justice,
HEREBY RESOLVES:
Article 1. Arrangement of commune-level administrative divisions of Gia Lai province
On the basis of the Government’s Project No. 393/DA-CP dated May 09, 2025 on arrangement of commune-level administrative divisions of Gia Lai province (new province) in 2025, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly makes a decision on arrangement to establish commune-level administrative divisions of Gia Lai province as follows:
1. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Nhon Loc and Nhon Tan into a new Commune called Nhon Tay Commune.
2. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Ngo May town, Cat Trinh commune and Cat Tan commune into a new Commune called Phu Cat Commune.
3. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Cat Nhon and Cat Tuong into a new Commune called Xuan An Commune.
4. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Cat Hung, Cat Thang and Cat Chanh into a new Commune called Ngo May Commune.
5. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Cat Tien town, communes of Cat Thanh and Cat Hai into a new Commune called Cat Tien Commune.
6. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Cat Khanh town, communes of Cat Minh and Cat Tai into a new Commune called De Gi Commune.
7. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Cat Hanh and Cat Hiep into a new Commune called Hoa Hoi Commune.
8. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Cat Lam and Cat Son into a new Commune called Hoi Son Commune.
9. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Phu My town, My Quang commune and My Chanh Tay commune into a new Commune called Phu My Commune.
10. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of My Chanh, My Thanh and My Cat into a new Commune called An Luong Commune.
11. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Binh Duong town, communes of My Loi and My Phong called Binh Duong Commune.
12. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of My An, My Tho and My Thang into a new Commune called Phu My Dong Commune.
13. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of My Trinh and My Hoa into a new Commune called Phu My Tay Commune.
14. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of My Tai and My Hiep into a new Commune called Phu My Nam Commune.
15. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of My Duc, My Chau and My Loc into a new Commune called Phu My Bac Commune.
16. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Tuy Phuoc town, Dieu Tri town and communes of Phuoc Thuan, Phuoc Nghia and Phuoc Loc into a new Commune called Tuy Phuoc Commune.
17. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Phuoc Son, Phuoc Hoa and Phuoc Thang into a new Commune called Tuy Phuoc Dong Commune.
18. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Phuoc An and Phuoc Thanh into a new Commune called Tuy Phuoc Tay Commune.
19. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Phuoc Hiep, Phuoc Hung and Phuoc Quang into a new Commune called Tuy Phuoc Bac Commune.
20. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Phu Phong town, Tay Xuan commune and Binh Nghi commune into a new Commune called Tay Son Commune.
21. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Tay Giang and Tay Thuan into a new Commune called Binh Khe Commune.
22. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Vinh An, Binh Tuong and Tay Phu into a new Commune called Binh Phu Commune.
23. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Binh Thuan, Binh Tan and Tay An into a new Commune called Binh Hiep Commune.
24. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Tay Vinh, Tay Binh, Binh Hoa and Binh Thanh into a new Commune called Binh An Commune.
25. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Tang Bat Ho town and communes of An Phong, An Duc and An Tuong Dong into a new Commune called Hoai An Commune.
26. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of An Tuong Tay, An Huu and Dak Mang into a new Commune called An Tuong Commune.
27. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of An Nghia and Bok Toi into a new Commune called Kim Son Commune.
28. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of An Son, An Tin and An Thanh into a new Commune called Van Duc Commune.
29. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of An Hao Tay, An Hao Dong and An My into a new Commune called An Hao Commune.
30. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Van Canh town, communes of Canh Thuan and Canh Hoa and part of the natural area and population size of Canh Hiep commune into a new Commune called Van Canh Commune.
31. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Canh Vinh and Canh Hien and part of the natural area and population size of Canh Lien commune and remaining part of Canh Hiep commune after the arrangement specified in clause 30 of this Article into a new Commune called Canh Vinh Commune.
32. Merge the remaining part of Canh Lien commune after the arrangement specified in clause 31 of this Article into a new Commune called Canh Lien Commune.
33. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Vinh Thanh town and Vinh Hao commune into a new Commune called Vinh Thanh Commune.
34. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Vinh Hiep and Vinh Thinh into a new Commune called Vinh Thinh Commune.
35. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Vinh Thuan, Vinh Hoa and Vinh Quang into a new Commune called Vinh Quang Commune.
36. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Vinh Kim and Vinh Son into a new Commune called Vinh Son Commune.
37. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of An Hoa and An Quang and part of the natural area and population size of An Nghia commune into a new Commune called An Hoa Commune.
38. Merge the entire natural area and population size of An Lao town, communes of An Tan and An Hung into a new Commune called An Lao Commune.
39. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of An Trung (An Lao district), An Dung and An Vinh into a new Commune called An Vinh Commune.
40. Merge the entire natural area and population size of An Toan commune and the remaining part of An Nghia commune after the arrangement specified in clause 37 of this Article into a new Commune called An Toan Commune.
41. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Nghia Hung, Chu Dang Ya, Ha Bau and Bien Ho into a new Commune called Bien Ho Commune.
42. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Ia Kenh, Ia Pech and Gao into a new Commune called Gao Commune.
43. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Ia Ly town, Ia Mo Nong commune and Ia Keng commune into a new Commune called Ia Ly Commune.
44. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Phu Hoa town, communes of Nghia Hoa and Hoa Phu into a new Commune called Chu Pah Commune.
45. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Dak To Ver, Ha Tay and Ia Khuol into a new Commune called Ia Khuol Commune.
46. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Ia Ka, Ia Nhin and Ia Phi into a new Commune called Ia Phi Commune.
47. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Chu Prong town, communes of Ia Phin, Ia Kly, Ia Drang into a new Commune called Chu Prong Commune.
48. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Thang Hung, Binh Giao and Bau Can into a new Commune called Bau Can Commune.
49. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Ia O (Chu Prong district), Ia Me and Ia Boong into a new Commune called Ia Boong Commune.

86. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Dak Doa town, communes of Tan Binh and Glar into a new Commune called Dak Doa Commune.
87. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Dak Krong, Hneng, Nam Yang and Kon Gang into a new Commune called Kon Gang Commune.
88. Merge the entire natural area and population size of communes of Ia Bang (Dak Doa district), Adok and Ia Pet into a new Commune called Ia Bang Commune.

107. Merge the entire natural area and population size of wards of Binh Dinh and communes of Nhon Khanh and Nhon Phuc into a new Ward called Binh Dinh Ward.

115. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Hoa Huong ward, Hoai Hai commune and Hoai My commune into a new Ward called Hoai Nhon Dong Ward.
116. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Hoai Hao ward and Hoai Phu commune into a new Ward called Hoai Nhon Tay Ward.
117. Merge the entire natural area and population size of wards of Hoai Tan and Hoa Xuan into a new Ward called Hoai Nhon Ward.
118. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Tam Quan Bac ward, Hoai Son commune and Hoai Chau Bac commune into a new Ward called Hoai Nhon Bac Ward.

122. Merge the entire natural area and population size of wards of Yen Do, Ia Kring, Dien Hong and Dien Phu commune into a new Ward called Dien Hong Ward.
123. Merge the entire natural area and population size of Thang Loi ward and communes of Chu A and An Phu into a new Ward called An Phu Ward.
124. Merge the entire natural area and population size of wards of Ngo May, Tay Son (An Khe town), An Phu, An Phuoc, An Tan and Thanh An into a new Ward called An Khe Ward.
125. Merge the entire natural area and population size of An Binh ward and communes of Tan An and Cu An into a new Ward called An Binh Ward.
126. Merge the entire natural area and population size of wards of Doan Ket, Song Bo, Cheo Reo and Hoa Binh into a new Ward called Ayun Pa Ward.
127. After the arrangement, Gia Lai province has 135 commune-level administrative divisions, including 25 wards and 110 communes; of which 101 communes and 25 wards are established after the arrangement specified in this Article and 09 communes are not subject to the arrangement, namely Iao (Ia Grai district), Nhon Chau, Ia Puch, Ia Mo, Ia Pnon, Ia Nan, Ia Dom, Ia Chia and Krong.
1. This Resolution takes effect from the date on which it is ratified.
2. Authorities shall, within their jurisdiction, expeditiously make necessary preparations to ensure that local governments of commune-level administrative divisions established after the arrangement specified in Article 1 of this Resolution officially commence their operations from July 01, 2025.
3. Local governments of commune-level administrative divisions before the arrangement shall continue to operate until local governments of commune-level administrative divisions established after the arrangement officially commence operations.
Article 3. Implementation organization
1. The Government, the People’s Council of Gia Lai province, the People’s Committee of Gia Lai province, local governments of administrative divisions related to the arrangement and other relevant authorities and organizations shall organize the implementation of this Resolution; arrange and stably operate apparatus of local authorities and organizations; maintain stable lives of local people and satisfy socio-economic development, national defense and security requirements in the province.
2. According to this Resolution and the Government’s Project No. 393/DA-CP dated May 09, 2025, the Government is assigned to organize the determination of natural area of commune-level administrative divisions in an exact manner and make it publicly available before September 30, 2025; at the same time expeditiously conduct on-site survey and determine boundaries of administrative divisions to prepare dossiers on boundaries of administrative divisions as prescribed.
3. The Council for Ethnic Minorities, Committees of the National Assembly, Delegations of the National Assembly Deputies and Delegations of the National Assembly Deputies of Gia Lai province shall, within their duties and powers, supervise the implementation of this Resolution.
This Resolution was passed by the Standing Committee of the 15th National Assembly of Socialist Republic of Vietnam on June 16, 2025.
